Good Citizens

We are a small, community-service organization located here in Sparta and are a group of men with families and a Sparta connection.  While our lives are busy, we meet monthly and spotlight ways by which we can give something back to our community and, by extension, our country.  Our contributions range from raking the lawn of someone in need to donating blood to cleaning up the local park to financially supporting other organizations in need to giving away annual scholarships to area youth.  We have approximately 22 active members.

Sparta Public Education Foundation

The Sparta Public Education Foundation was formed in 2004 by a group of community members who recognized the need for an organization which would help to develop additional financial resources to support the education mission of the Sparta Area School District.  In the past several years, the Foundation has provided thousands of dollars to staff members to promote innovative educational programs. The Foundation also provides scholarships annually to graduating seniors

Friends Of The Sparta Library

The mission of the Friends of the Sparta Free Library (FOSFL) is to bring people together to celebrate, support, and grow the many benefits of the library. We inspire community connections and lifelong learning, encourage everyone to discover and enjoy all the library has to offer, provide volunteer support for library programs and activities, and help host events and fundraisers to meet special library needs
